The 2007 season marks the return of  Lobo Mike Flynt, who started at linebacker for Sul Ross when Sully was a member of the Lone Star Conference over 35 years ago.  

 

Flynt’s appearance has not gone unnoticed by major news organizations. Flynt, who has spent most of his career as a strength and conditioning coach at some of the nation’s most prestigious collegiate athletic programs, learned earlier this summer that even though he already holds a college degree, he still has one year of college football eligibility remaining. The 59-year old has enrolled in graduate school at Sul Ross with his sights set on getting a master’s degree, and helping the Sul Ross football team in any role he can.
